Moissanite is a lab-created gemstone composed of silicon carbide. It ranks 9.25 on the Mohs hardness scale — second only to diamond — making it one of the hardest known substances. With a refractive index of 2.65 (compared to diamond's 2.42), moissanite actually produces more brilliance and fire than diamond. It was first discovered in 1893 by Nobel Prize-winning chemist Henri Moissan inside a meteor crater in Arizona.

No. Moissanite is its own gemstone with its own unique chemical composition, crystal structure, and optical properties. It is not cubic zirconia, glass, or a diamond simulant. We position moissanite as fine jewelry in its own category — valued for its exceptional brilliance, ethical sourcing, and remarkable durability. We never misrepresent it as diamond.

Yes. Every piece ships with a GRA (Gemological Research Association) certificate of authenticity. The certificate verifies the colour grade (D — colourless), clarity (VVS1 — virtually flawless), cut grade, carat weight, and shape of each stone. Each certificate includes a unique identification number. The certificate arrives in the box with your piece.

All of our pieces are crafted in 925 sterling silver — 92.5% pure silver alloyed with 7.5% copper for strength. Every piece is rhodium plated for a bright, tarnish-resistant white finish. Yes. We offer free shipping on all orders over $200 AUD within Australia. All orders are processed and dispatched within 1-2 business days and delivered within 8-14 business days. You will receive a tracking number via email once your order has been dispatched.

We offer a 30-day return policy from the date of delivery. Items must be unworn, in their original condition, and returned in the original packaging along with your GRA certificate. Yes. Every piece comes with a comprehensive lifetime warranty covering manufacturing defects, stone loosening, clasp failure, and annual rhodium re-plating. Please retain your GRA certificate as it may be required for warranty claims. See our Warranty page for what is and is not covered.

No. Unlike cubic zirconia, which can cloud and dull with wear, moissanite is chemically and optically stable. Its brilliance, fire, and clarity will not degrade, fade, or change over time. It is a permanent gemstone designed to last generations. The only maintenance needed is occasional cleaning — warm soapy water and a soft brush.

Moissanite is extremely durable and low-maintenance. We recommend removing jewelry before showering, swimming, or exercising. Clean with warm soapy water and a soft brush, then pat dry with a lint-free cloth. Store pieces individually in their original box or a soft pouch.
